hello there..
i have a 1.0L corsa B and obveously it has no power to it what so ever..
i have put an induction kit on there but all tht does is creat alot of noise as i expected it do do and no power increase..
i was wondering what casn be done to increase power output weather it BHP or tourgue..
i know you can shave a few mill of the cylinders but how much can be taken off?
and is there any other things which can be done to increase the performance?
is there any other engine which will fit in to the same space as the original without any major work being done?
thnks very much RICH....

go for a new engine, preferably a 1.6 or upwads be the most cost effective way of increasing perfomance
anything else you do wont really make much of a diffrence becides hurt your wallet.
have a search about the forum, this sort of thing has been coverd loads of times, im sure you would find loads of tips on whats best thing
i used to love my old 1.0i corsa i uses to be able to rev it to death was ace!
welcome to the forum btw

realy reliable aswell my mum had a 1.1L and she had it for 18 years did well over 200.000 miles and only just needed the tapits doin.. thts why i got one.. i know im safe then..

pricewise depends, from a garage cost you anything up to £5k
but can be done for as little as a few hundrad quid
if your mechanicly minded you could probably do it yourself.
im no mechanic nither is my friend but we remove the engine from his old starlet and fitted a glanza engine took us about a day and a half.
of course you need the tools to do it with too!

have a look at this thread on corsasport
http://www.corsasport.co.uk/board/viewt ... tid=420151
shows what you can do if you put your mind to it
by the way i once put an induction kit on my 1litre corsa an it pulled a bit harder as well as making it louder i used to test the speed of it and it also shaved about 2 1/2 secs off compared to the standard one
