Button on key...

i have a button on my car keys.. just one lil circle...
is it for central locking?
its never worked.. battery is probably dead.. if i replace it.. would iit still work? or will i have to reset something?

If it's for central locking then you stand a chance of locking yourself out of the car/the car not starting when you come to start it.
Basically with the keyfobs you have around 5secs to change the battery over before it looses the code if the car has an imobaliser (which corsa's do in the ignition barrell. If you loose the code the only place that'll have the code (that i'm aware of) would be the dealers. If you can get in the car etc without the button could be worth just sticking with this method. Unless you really want the push button locking. Then it might be worth a trip to vauxhall to sort just incase.

cheers.. glad i havent actually got a new battery then.. yeh i might pop over to vaux in the new year to see.

I have the same little button on my 1998 1.2 16v key fob and its alittle light. If you look at the base of the blade of the key, there is alittle clear square (which is the light).
Not saying yours is a light it maybe for your locking

its a light, open the key should be little battery, bulb and a coiled up wire
