egr valve do`ya have to drain the coolant

i need take my egr valve to clean, do i have to drain the engine coolant to get it out?

when you pull the rubber pipe off the back of the egr valve the coolant will drain.

If you can find something to put into the pipe then you can stop the coolant coming out so you can keep your feet dry and save time and money

yea just plug it with something

but while its off id flush the coolant system and replace anyway, might aswell!
