Hi
have Corsa B which is idling between 1000/1400 Revs. Tried blanking of EGR valve and this makes no difference. Thought I'd try replacing throttle position sensor then idle control motor but haynes manual says once this is done the new sensor has to be coded to the ECU and this can only be done at Vauxhalls . Is this the case or will ECU detect new sensor and pick up the new readings itself. Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Corsa B Irratic idle
Yes that is correct the car does have to be put on the diagnostics computer so take the car to a vauxhall specalist with tech 2 (vauxhall diagnotics computer) and get them to fit the part and update the ECU.

Re: Corsa B Irratic idle
Mine does this but only cuz it's now got a ECU from an Automatic 1.0
Been told the the Automatics do idle higher. Has the ECU been changed in the past?
