iv just got a corsa...its a 1.2 corsa trip..white..its got the normal gsi/sri spoiler...xenon hedlight conversion..3" exhaust,centre console has been resprayed white,white led's in footwell,6x9s on parcel shelf..and all the wiring for sub and amp in the boot...only paid £380 for it :) i will post pics when i figure out how to do it.

but i just wondering if anyone has any advice on modifying. heres a list of what i have planned so far..so if anyone could give me any hints and tips for when i come to do these(such as things i should be careful about) i would be very grateful.

1.Sports/debadged front grill-its a 97 reg so has the crappy bumper,i think i need to cut a bit out???
2.Rear lights-wasnt sure if i should go for smoked black or plain white.thinkin white?
3.Alloys-i think white would look nice,but was thinkin black if i put on carbon fibre look/black bonnet?
4.Painted dash-i am planning to repsray air vents etc as the centre console is already painted white.
5.Rocker cover-want to repsray the rocker cover-is this fairly straight forward? and is there anything else under the bonnet thats easy to respray?
6.Tints-i was goin to get some tinting film to do the back 2 windows and rear windscreen..is this easy? and whats bet way to do it?

let me know. thanks!!!

Tinting film can be a right B**CH, spent about 2 days trying to do my brother pug306, and really struggled. If it goes wrong in the smallest way, its looks utter S***E, but when done well, looks awesome, so im not trying to put u off. A good method is in the haynes max power moddin manuel if you got one.
Basically:
Spray washing up liquid on outside of window, place film over, tint side faceing window, peel off side on outside. Now cut it to the right size. Spray inside of windows with washing up liquid. peel backing side from sticky tint side, leaving the tinting on the window, now sticky. place the tinting inside of window, sticky side facing the window (effectively sticking it onto window). Now the decent amount of washing up liquid will allow u to move the tinting around, even though it should be sticking (dont worry, the washing up liquid will dry). Now remove bubbles and creases, working from the middle, going horizontally outwards, not up and down. Use a flexible credit card with a cloth over it. From there, it just takes time and a LOT of patience, something my bro lacked. It will all stick without bubbles eventually. And help urself by doing it on a warm day, and cleaning the windows super well and removing all stickers!! Possibly cut the film for the rear window in 2/3 horizontally and overlap a mm on inside over a heating wire. That took a while :coffee: :sleep:

As for rocker cover, should be a simple spray job, just prep the surface to the max, and maybe use high temp paint??

Hope that helps!! :lol:

Yeh, although i have never found the engine reaches incredibly high temperatures, so i would have thought u could get away with a normal spray job.... Im not sure of the colour limitations when it comes to high temp paint.

And those alloys, i would go with white, unless your going for a contrast style black/white design (ie black wheel arches maybe and bonnet like you said), in which case some gloss black alloys. Bear in mind the expense of a carbon bonnet!!
