iv just got a corsa...its a 1.2 corsa trip..white..its got the normal gsi/sri spoiler...xenon hedlight conversion..3" exhaust, centre console has been resprayed white, white led's in footwell,6x9s on parcel shelf..and all the wiring for sub and amp in the boot...only paid £380 for it :) i will post pics when i figure out how to do it.

but i just wondering if anyone has any advice on modifying. heres a list of what i have planned so far..so if anyone could give me any hints and tips for when i come to do these(such as things i should be careful about) i would be very grateful.

1.Sports/debadged front grill-its a 97 reg so has the crappy bumper,i think i need to cut a bit out???
2.Rear lights-wasnt sure if i should go for smoked black or plain white.thinkin white?
3.Alloys-i think white would look nice, but was thinkin black if i put on carbon fibre look/black bonnet?
4.Painted dash-i am planning to repsray air vents etc as the centre console is already painted white.
5.Rocker cover-want to repsray the rocker cover-is this fairly straight forward? and is there anything else under the bonnet thats easy to respray?
6.Tints-i was goin to get some tinting film to do the back 2 windows and rear windscreen..is this easy? and whats bet way to do it?

let me know. thanks!!!

1. Buy the best first off, no point buying a do for now stuff coz u only wasting money in the long run

rocker covers easy to paint, u dnt need high temp paint, simple primer and paint and laquer, ur engine dnt get that hot for it to melt, (trust me i dun it on my redtop). u can buy chrome goodies for under ur bonnet, depends if u gonna show it often lol. 3 good things for engine bay, shiny paint, chrome, and hoses (roose/samco) oh and keep it clean and tidy lol, auto glym tyre dressing works great on a damp cloth on engine bays! !

Nice alloys can set off any motor, euro style is hot at the mo, get some BBS alloys or woteva u like, get a wide arch kit from corsakits.com for £50 and slam it on it arse, will look the nuts.

Rest really is down to u, ur motor and ur money so ur choice, Keep us posted mate and let us know how u do! ! !

i was thinkin of some wolfrace pro lites rims in white..but will settle for anything nice really as im on a very low budget at the moment :( going rally style now so wide arch kit sounds like a good idea to me :)

gotta decide if i should go for blue or white on the rocker cpver...why does life have so many tough decisions?? lol :D

Dont go for a wide arch kit .. they are wank .. and especially if you have small budget .. u then have to get it painted and smoothed if you want a good job !!! rims are expensive so you could always invest in some vauxhall ones such as astra ,cavalier or calibra alloys and get em powder coated and they get your self a nice drop and your well on your way ....if you don't like the thought of vauxhall alloys gor for some team dynamic jobbies theyre lite and look the nuts on a white corsa !!!!

Have a look at ths picture and tell me if black bumpers and vauxhall wheels look poo .........c .. this is not done on a huge budget and still looks the absolute nuts !!!! but keep your pre-97 bumpers and replace the vauxhall badge with an opel 1 !!!!!!

yeh that does look well nice..not sure about the opel badge tho :S might just go for no grill at all? do u think i should lower it though? as i am going rally style...the only rally stages that the cars are dropped down on is tarmac.

yerr i tottally agree mate dont think it would give a great look to a rally style car but hope it all goes well..! wos just wondering about your car, did the spoiler come allready fitted or did you do it yourself? as i need a guide on how to install one. mine is being sprayed at the moment but im getting it at the weekend and i am going to give it a go on sunday....

I will make some suggestions, but this is my opinion...remember its your car!!

ok, well...firstly, get a standard centre console. Painted ones look tacky and just horrible!

You need a decent set of wheels that you like. My recommendation would be a set of vaux wheels...or a set that you can get in as close to ET49 as poss, motorsport inspired.

Suspension kit, drop it about 40mm.

Late spec front bumper, either colour coded or just black plastic, makes a huge difference and looks great with the slatted grille.

Either standard lights or MHW's...dont have white ones.

Under the bonnet...throw that engine...get a 1.6 8v. Good reliable engine that can be tuned and get some power from it.

Decent exhaust system. A magnex if you can get hold of one. If not, a scorpion...or for the motorsport style, Ashley or Sportex.

That should do for now tbh... :)

im goin to keep the original bumpers, but just spray them white,i have seen one that someone done the same..and i really like it..i might cut out the grill and fill the holes wen i come to sprayin it though.

im not gonna bother droppin bigger engine in yet...as il probz jus get a sport or gsi eventually with bigger engine in already(bearin in mind this is my first car).

personally i like the painted console-but mine needs redoing as the person who dun it before done a really crap job.

i am working on the wheels and suspension-im only workin part time so i am saving slowly-i will have them by the time PVS comes in june lol.

and yeh my spoiler was already on when i got it,but it just has bolts holdin it on-so my guess would be u just drill 4 holes into the right place on the bootlid, then bolt it on. theres loads of people on here that have fitted there own spoilers-my advice would be put a seperate post up mate..all the best :)
