valves?

whats the easiest way to tell what valve the engine is at a quick look?

the 8 valve engines tend to look pretty bare lol with no engine covers where as the twin cam lumps tend to have a plastic like engine cover like the ecotechs.

8 valve engines have a single cam and take up little of the engine bay normally in pre '98 cars. 16 valve cars have ecotech engines and are twin cam and an engine cover so take up alot of the engine bay especially the 1.4 and 1.6.
