gearbox oil

corsa b (1999) 1.2 16v can anyone tell me what oil to put in gearbox, cos some bloke has told me to use (ATF) the red stuff ?
Is the car auto mate.

you can get it from vauxhall, halfords or a motorfactor. I use the castrol stuff from halfords.
