my first post asking about the car so be nice

i have a corsa 1.2 ls on an L reg, and having problem with the steering, the problem being when i am turning a corner i can turn the wheel almost a quarter the way round before it starts to turn, basically when im in a straight line going along, there is alot of play in the steering wheel with no movement of the wheels.

can this be the steering column or maybe the rack?

your racks prob worn, id get a new one fitted it will fail the MOT like this
