i have a 1.2L single point injection corsa and was thinking of dropping a c14se single point injection engine in, what would i need to do for this to work ?

would it be a straight bolt in job or would i have to change the ECU , GEARBOX and LOOM?

HELP !!!

cheers

IMO its really not worth changing engines. There really is'nt gonna be that much difference in power/torque. It seems alot of work to prob gain about 10-20bhp. You would prob gain more by doing some polishing/porting to the head, free flowing (deburing) the manifolds, FULL performance exhaust and a aftermarket air filter. Fair play tho, saft first with the brakes. Thats normally everyone lasy job!!

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CHANGE WIRING LOOMS OR ECU's!!!!! it is just a straight swap coz i dun this before on 4 other corsa's, only time u would have to change loom and ecu is if u fitting 1.4sri engine (multi point inj), all the 1.2 and 1.4i run the same loom and ecu. i only dun them coz it was a cheap swap, nippy little motor and look exactly the same as 1.2 so coppers cant tell no difference.

nothing mate, all pil pump, water pump etc etc can all be switched, but it safer to get new timing belt at least.

c14se is the multipoint injection not spi think spi is c14nz so you would need engine loom and prob ecu from a c14se corsa or astra and if your going to go to trouble of taking engine out why not go for a c16se or c20 8valve prob wont be much harder at least you got the brakes for it lmao
