hi all. been having alot of knocking goin on from my steering. been 2 the garage and they said all looks fine but quite alot
movement from my top mounts, lowered bout 30mm on coilovers and with sports dampers on rear it has a very stiff ride and you feel everythin
but i like it so bushes and mounts are takin alot of punishment.

dont wish to replace with standard mounts as will just happen again pretty soon, seen some compbrake topmounts(adjustible).
so could angle and tweek a little for £105.

please let me no if u have any recomendations on what to do

many thanks steve

What i'd say is take the cap off on top of the strut, turn it over and where the hollow spacer is wack it with a hammer so it flatens out more. That then will take all the movement out of the top shock mounts. If you think about it, the top shock mount cant really wear as its not a moving part, thats what the bearing is for. It sits between the body and strut to stop knocking, vibration etc, I bet ive only ever changed 4 shock mounts in about 9 yrs.
