heater problems (newbie)

Post by gonzo94 »

hi,i have recently purchased a 96 corsa trip 1.2 8v,the heater works but not to its full ability.i have changed the thermostat, flushed the cooling system with a small caustic solution, the amount of crap that came out was not surprising, the previous owner had no mechanical know how, since i have done this action my temp gauge hardly moves of the lower mark,i have made sure that there is no air-lock in system, just does'nt give out much, any suggestions please.

If it does that then, the thermostat is stuck open.

all the vaux's that i have had over the years, the heaters have been spot-on,gauge hardly moves and it struggles to give out any real heat.
