fiting gsi soiler

in a few days im going to hopefully be fitting my gsi spoiler its got a backing plate but im goin to tuger seal it on.
has anyone done this before?
i was wondering if anyone has any tips/advice for me.

I think my dad used that stuff for his side skirts on his mondy. It did hold pretty well but i was holding it in place for a while. He ended up putting screws in it for extra hold. If you use the seal maybe put a couple of self tappers in there to give it some extra strength.

thank for that
do you know how he applied it?
did he just squirt it on or squirt it on then wipe it all over the surface glue area?

squirted it on and while i held it in place he wiped away the excess (sp). Then the stuff he didnt get away he used tcut to take it off

oh rite thanks. do you know what size self tapping screws to use and do i use a screwdriver or an electric drill?
also how long will i have to hold the spoiler against the car?

if u use self tappin screws u wont need to hold it in place as the screws will do the job..u will need screws long enough to go through the skirt and into the body at least 1 or 2cm to get a good grip.

well how big would that be and to i just use the screws to put the backing plate on ?
