buy a performace calcium battery....i did cos the standard one kept goin flat after leavin the radio for 5 mins. I paid £65 for mine which aint to bad given i leave the soun system on for like half hour at a time without engine on at times and it still starts happily afterwards.

u'll just end up spending it on petrol in the long run anyway! either way it sound like u got a perm live feed to the headunit. Probs off the 12v fag lighter socket live feed from the battery. u need to feed the live from either the ignition or the fuse box -off a fuse that only active when engine is on - to the headunit. Or as i know u like switches u could always cut the live feed in half add a bit of length to it and put in a switch on the feed thats already there. Will be easier as ur not so familiar with electrical wiring are u dan? Just buy a lamp from a local recycling shop and cut the wire with some length either side of the switch or get wire and switch from the local merchants and solder the wires and electric tape em to give more length to the current live then put the switch in somewhere for it. Maybe undee the steering cowl so only u can turn on the live feed? Im thinkin of doin sumin similar with the live feed from the fuse box to the battery for ignition. So it harder or a thief to try to steal car itself as i live in the middle of a poo council estate in hull cos im here at uni. like 20 sumin corsas been stolen around here in the last 3 months. I even got pulled by the police after just unloadin the car of food shoppin just as i was parkin it! they made me finish parkin it then i had to "go have a chat" in the back of their car to see if everythin was legit. Let me go after 5 mins...but O_o dickheads! didnt even give me a stop search record.

lol im not that bothered bout switches..there was jus 2 fitted wen i got mine lol.yeh might have to jus add a new switch eventually..or just get someone to wire it to the ignition-thats what i want, just for it to go on and off with the ignition.iv still gotta fink bout gettin sub n amp sorted...and aftermarket door speakers n tweeters...too much stuff needed but not enough funds

the A-pillar tweeter pod build and tweeters only cost like £50 -£60 i rekon...and a fair bit of time. Im gonna use a non-shine velvet/satin material on the A-pillars to give em a better finish though cos the Fibreglass finish is shiny/smooth compared to the wierd plastic pattern used on vinly corsa parts.

dan you need to swap the red and yellow wires at the back of the headunit...
then wen you remove the key from the ignition the headunit will turn off...
mine used to stay on.. and once i thought i'd turned it off.. but actually i'd only changed it from radio to cd player cus its the same button for power as change function... then it was like 2.00am and all i could here was this bass thumping... and yea.. my car was playing music to itself lol...

nah it also changes the ignition aswell.. you need to try the different combo's cus on mine i have like 3 different connections...
only downside to this is wen im pissing about with my car i need to leave keys in ignition to have stereo on lol.. and where i live.. that is risky.

just use ur key but take the transistor chip out....it will allow u to turn on the power but the car wont start cos immobiliser will kick in. Then a theif will jump in ur car while u at the back doin sumin in the boot, try to start the car to just have it stall on em....then u walk round to em and are....like "ehh buddy!?!? WTF u think ur tryin to do!?! wanna get the fcuk out my car and accept this punch or just hide in there like a little bitch?"
Just put the chip sumwhere safe in ur house or u might regret takin it out lol.
