Incar dvd player

Just put a dvd player in me car n it dunt seem to have any memory.
when i switch the ignition off it turns off ok n everything but wen i switch the ignition on it doesnt seem to remember the time, radio stations, tv stations or weather i was listenin to the cd player or radio. Ive been told that two wires need connecting on the scarts at the back but no1 seems to no which wires need connecting.
Any1 have any ideas???

the red and yellow cables at on the plug to connect to car power/audio need swappin round. U can either unclip them and swap em round in the plastic plug, cut and rejoin the wires the right way round or get a iso converter block (i think thats wat they called) that has the cables th right way around. The red is the live power feed and the yellow is the power memory feed. They just the wrong way around.

do u mean swap them round at the end that plugs into the stearo or the end tht plugs into the car? or both?
n cnt i just connect the yellow one to the red one?

yeah...the iso blocks that puch together at the back of the headunit. It doesnt matter which one u do it to aslong as the yellow and red are swapped round on one of em. If u got a decent headunit with warrenty then swap the wires round on the car loom rather than risk damaging the wiring harness on ur headunit and voiding the warrenty. Either way..just swap round the red/yellow wire pins in one of the plastic iso blocks or cut the wires and remove some of the plastic sheathing and join em back together the right way round. so cut the red and yellow then connect the red to the yellow and the yellow to the red. hope u can get ur head round what im sayin...lol.
