was out driving today..and like a muppet i stalled it coz of a granny faffin around in front of me lol...but went to start it and there was nothing-not even the normal management lights.

so popped the bonnet..checked the terminals were tight-which they were.so i undone em both..put em back on..still nothing.then noticed the postive one was bit crappy...so scraped off some of the crap...put bak on..still nothing...so i banged it about a bit and away it went.

i think the terminal just needs cleaning up with bit of wire wool or sumthing...but i have heard putting vaseline on them helps? anyone think this is a good idea?or got any other tips???

cheers

undo both terminals, use a wire brush or sandpaper to clean the terminals and make sure that they are both clean, and the battery clamps also,re-tighten and grease or vasaline will do.

Can you just imagine you neighbours watching you cleaning your bumpers off with peanut butter and lubricating you battery terminals with vasaline!! Vasaline is also good for rust.....
