I had a search and there was a thread on here ages and ages ago http://forums.corsa-b.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... air+intake about removing a cone from the air intake box. Ive just got a few qustions on this...
1) Can it be done on a 1.2 16vlave corsa?
2) Its an old car now (54k miles) so will it risk damaging the engine?
3) Is it legal and should i tell my insurance company about it?
Thanks for your time every1

1) yes i think its can be done.. if the cars got an airbox then it can...
2)54k is nothing lol... it'll be fine once the ecu adjusts...
3) technically it is a mod.. but try and explain it to an insurance company and they'll prob just not care.. it'll only give you like 2bhp increase max lol.

Thanks very much for your reply. Looks like i might ave a go at doing it then. And yeh i know it wont give much but its somethin for nothing plus if you drill some holes then it cud make it a bit louder as well. Anyone else know anythin about this, anythin i shud watch out for when doing it?

dont be so quick to jump to getting a kit lol...jhibbert wrote:I really done mean to be rude...but dont be so damn cheap! get urself an induction kit
having a kit can be good... if your going forward.. if your stuck intraffic though it just starts sucking pure hot air from the engine in...
with a drilled airbox... only drill the wingside of the box and maybe a couple of holes in the front....
also if you get a new panel filter then you'll get even more power
