what is the best way to debadge without damaging my car. i heard that a hairdryer and a card works but wot bout the glue wot gets left behind if any

I just took the badges off with a knife and was reali reali careful.... Put loads of t-cut on the glue and get rubbing..Takes a while

When I debadged my corsa I used hot water and a old tesco card and then to get rid of the glue left behind I used bug and tar remover and lots of elbow grease.

I literally got fed up of asking people and messing about, went out there with my student card, rubbed it under the badges, they came off, then poured hot water on the glue and scraped it off with my student card.

No paintwork damaged, still need to T-cut some of it off though, but it's barely noticable at all.

i poured hot water to loosen the glue, then used DENTAL FLOSS! put it behing the badges and start sawing, works a treat!
i had a bit of the glue left over, dabbed it with white spirit then scraped it off with an old card. did this several times to get it 100% off

I tried dental floss but was unable to get it behind the badge 'cus I'm heavy handed.

I also read another thread that said NOT to use any spirits when getting the goo off because it turned somebody's white car, purple.

oops lol, i was consious of that happening so i made sure i washed it all off after afew seconds! so my paintwork is fine

lol, you're a brave one.

^err, just what i was thinking too.

What I did was boil up the kettle poured that in a bucket got an old rag put that in the water and rubbed around the badges with the cloth (be careful of burning your hand lol).
Then get your old card (t-mobile in my case) then get the badges off from the rear and also worked on the fish shaped club badge then your left withe the glue.
With the glue I used a window scraper from the winter doesn't damage paintwork and lots of elbow grease bit more water will come off in bout 15-20 mins.
Then at the end bit of t-cut gets that really hard glue off then finally bit of polish

you know what i found today is good for removing the glue left behind?

a bit of de-icer

just had a go at this
i used boiling water and a cloth and wiped it around the badges
then used sum dental floss and starting from one end i started usin a sawing technique and removed the badges
hard bit was to remove the glue i done this jus by constantly dabbing the glue with water and using my nail to peel it off
this worked but was takin too long so then i just used window scraper and it worked, didnt scratch the car theres abit excess glue which isnt noticeable but dont really know how to get this off.. but part from that the technique worked

first off all i ripped the plastic bit off (helped getting a plastic card behind to ease it off).. got an old rag ( a tough one ) dab of white spirit and rubbed like mad then jus used the plastic card to scrap the rest off ... after it was all off i used meguiars all metal polish to get the little marks off.. gave it a good Tcut and thats it came off a treat jus need to get colour coded bumpers now to make it look abit better lol and some springs
