Hello there I just bought a corsa and quickly set about putting my after market speakers in. Ive put all the speakers in but haven't wired up the doors yet as the existing wireing is nackerd. Anyway my problem is that immediatley after installing the headunit and the rear 6x9's the speakers worked. Now they are being tempremental and go off when i go over bumps in the road. Ive checked all the wiring and it seems to be fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

A few things to note are that ive wired the rears directly from the headunit but there arent any exposed wires or anything to that manor also when i turn the headunit on the Date on the dashboard turns off could this be linked to my problem?

thanks

if you need anymore info that i may not have given please ask

the date on your dashboard will go off with an aftermarket hedunit,
as its originaly designed for the old standard hed unit, normaly displays what radio station you got on, since u have an aftermarket one it will just go blank.

sounds more likely you have somthing loose or its shorting on somthing especialy if it only happens when you go over bumps
moslt likely ether a break in the wire, loose at the speaker end or loose at the hed unit end.

try removing the hedunit check for any pare wires, 1 tiny strand of copper from a wire could be touching somthing and causing your problem double check eveything and let me know

quick tip for you tho, if you want the date to stay on when your hedunit is on you have to remove the display and have a look at the plug and cut the wire for pin 8
as this is the wire that sends a signal to display the radio data, but as your aftermarket hed unit dosnt use this wire it just turns the display off, cut it and it should stay on permently.
