hey guys, cars got a prob. when the car is idling the engine managment light comes on and it starts to idling like its pulsing... and sometimes when i accelerate it bogs down and theres a burst of power.. and also if im in gear and i lift off the accelerator the light comes on and the car starts to lurch really violently... is it the air mass sensor or could it be something like the idle control valve??

also sounds like a poss throttle position sensor problem. what engine is it??

Read the fault codes 1st before replacing any parts. I could get costly otherwise.... also clean the heat wire off on the MAF sensor with a bit of carb cleaner. People replace them thinking they are fooked but the heat wire get clogged in poo and gives a fause reading to the ECU.....

Z3p has kindly shown how to do it if your unsure...
