Anything I should worry about with a high mileage if I were to get a car with a higher mileage?

any service history with it,that will give you some indication that it has been looked after, any receipts for any work done, number of previous owners,i notice from the link you put in your post that its a garage in bridgewater, price also seems a little bit high for year etc.

mine is same age and done 40,000. If cars have not been looked after properly, eg regular services etc, then the 90,000/100,000 mark is generally when you start to get problems. Unless its got a full service history that shows its had regular services then i wouldnt touch it with a barge pole.

taking a look Friday so all going well might end up with this
I think its pretty good anyway
its cheaper because, from what the email said 'only problem with car is it locks from passenger side not drivers as lock is damaged'
I think it should be fixable

just looked at the link you posted
ask if there is any service history, old mot's,receipt's for any recent work done, where the car came from either local/auction.
exterior==check around body work for any signs of rust/colour not matching, tyre sizes all the same, bumpers secure, windscreen not cracked/chipped
interior== check for general wear and tear, seat damage to drivers side, seat belts for any fraying, head lining for rips/stains/nicotine etc
engine==with out engine running, check for any signs of oil/water leaks, new hoses, anything new ask, check the suspension mounting for any sign of rust
engine running==let engine warm up the check for any strange noises,if fitted with pas (power assisted steering)get someone to turn the steering wheelto full lock left and right to make sure that there is no juddering or squealing from the pas, check for any leaks oil/water,exhaust not blowing,headlights/indicaters,wipers/washers/hazards and fog lights work.
test drive==you will know if the car feels right within a mile or two
if you find anything wrong with the car you can use this to your advantage when it comes to parting with your cash,if he wants the deal he should do the work without moaning, dont be afraid to haggle.
hope this helps.

bit to far way at the mo, haven't passed my test yet got it end of the month
I had a a look at the SXI not bad, tidy interior, bit of fading to the paint though, thing is though there's been a few repaired spray jobs, and one of the wheel arches is a different colour, runs real nice though, Just needs the alignment sorted out
and
I dont think i mentioned about the driver lock I knew it didn't work when going to see the car, turns out someone have tryed to do a screw driver job on the driver side, the central looking still works though (you can lock the car from the passenger side), any idea if its an easy fix or what ever?

its not to bad a job,a bit fiddly with the cenral locking, you will have to buy a new cylinder barrel/key,couple of hours max,you say that the paint work is a bit faded, that could be brought back with t-cut,sounds like a wheel arch has been put on at some stage, hope you managed to get some cash off for the door lock!

just take the barrel from the boot and swap that with the drivers barrel and install a boot poper for £15 and maybe half a day work for that. then smooth off the boot where the boot barrel was with fibreglass and paint it with matched paint maybe. tedious admitidly but would be pocket friendly and give ya sumin to do for a couple days.
