semi flush boot ...?????

hi i have loads of rust around my wiper and lock on my boot . im thinkin bout making all that bit flush ( keeping reg on ) can i just use filler on this or do i need to weld metal onit ??? any help will be grateful thanks

u probs could use filler mate but its advisable u cut out the old rust and weld in new metal otherwise it will just crack the filler and u will be back where u started.
