oil filter fitment

ok...so i've dine the oil +filter change already. but whilst in bed last night thinking ova the process etc as u do when ur chuffed with urself lol i started to think....i wonder if it matters if the 4 holes in the filter / filter sump attatchment place line up with each other? i've driven the car about 20 miles since doin the change and the filters not popped off and the oil pressure light reports no faults, but was just wondering if this could cause any problems in the future? cos the 1 --> 4 numbers on the filter....do they mean anything inparticular? start screwin on at 1 and hope fully finish at 4 after a few full turns to tighten? cos mine ended up on about number 3 facing the bonnet....not number four like with the one that was on before! probs too late to change it without draining and refilling again. but would appreciate feedback
