where did you buy it from if it was a garage take it back! If it was a guy in the paper or ebay give them a ring and see if they will take it back.

you have got to be asking yourself if the speedo don't work why? and what else could be wrong?

ok I was just worried someone was ripping you and sold you a dud car.

A bit more about the corsa you have would be helpfull year? and engine?

there are two types of speedo's in corsas cable and electric if its electric it might just be a fuse.

I read a post about them the other week ill find it and get back to you soon

The fuse for the instrument panel is fuse 17 it is shared with the cigarette lighter check the fuse and that the cigarette lighter works.

if your speedo starts at 10mph its cable driven and if it starts at 0mph its eleectric.

whoa...didnt know that was the difference between 10mph and 0mph start! i got electric one yet no tacho! could i just wak in a set of dials with rev counter then? also....might sound stupid but can u force new dials to match ur old ones? like they practially break if u try forcin em down in mileage...but do they easy click upwards in mileage?

there are tutorials on many differebt sites that show how to replace non rev counter dials to dials with a rev counter. im prety sure its as simple as unpluging the old ones and pluging the new ones in.

It is illegal to chnge the milage on your car, however it is possible for purposes of setting the new dials to match your car.

it ISNT actualy ilegal to change the miles on your car there are companys that specialise in doing it.
HOWEVER when selling the car you MUST tell the new ownerthat you have alterd the milage, otherwise you are then breaking the law.

and actualy i have written a tutorial on this site on how to remove and refit clocks (see the FAQ section) on how to change the speedometer. however for obvious reasons i havnt posted how to change the milage.
however it is pretty simple most people could just figgure it out.

regarding your non working speedo, what engine do you have? what speedo you got? (start at 0 or 10?)
if it starts at 10, wher you going faster than 10mph? need bit more information buddy!

yeh i found out about this adrian..all corsas have the same looms..so u just unplug the old and in with the new :) and its easy to change the milage..u just take off like a white box on the back and roll em round.there is a post with some pics here somewhere.
