which gauge wire? im gonna be running one 500watt amp and one 600watt amp. i currently have 1000watt 10gauge power supply, do i need to upgrade it to sumin like 1500 8guage wire or will i be good to keep the current one? the 600watt amp will only be pushed to about 75-80% output with two subs bridged and the 500watt sub will be for a single set of 6x9's. the RMS ratings are all sound and will result in a safely matched up system. i just wanna know if i should upgrade the power and ground cables?
and i know this should really be in ice etc forum but it always quiet ova there

if i was you id upgrade the power cable but you shld be alrite with the earth (ground) as it is. in houses and installations the earth (ground) cable is always smaller then the live or power cables

and i wouldnt leave the earth cable as it is with multiple amps. Just get a 4guage wiring kit and it will do the lot anyway,

run both from battery from a power distribution block. hence wondering if the wire from battery to distribution block needs to be 4 or 8 gauge then i know i can use 10guage from dist block to each amp.

4 guage. there is no point risking a fire and detroying all the amps, so go four to be safe. Also you need to make sure you work out the right fuse rating, which is Extremely important!

lol...im gonna be usin 60amp fuse cos both amps peak draw is about 20amps each. so a 60amp fuse is bout right yeah? or should i use two 40 amp fuses? one from the battery to dist block then from dist block to power cap another fuse?
