lol...shouldnt be a problem if it been wired properly in parrallel and not in a series circuit. im assuming ur gonna be removing the boot barrel and replacing with a boot poping actuator/motor? will the alarm go off when it armed and u try opening the boot when just pressing in the lock barrel? if yes then the boot lock has an alarm sensor on it and may affect ur alarm system, if not then probs fine.
U shouldnt have any problems besides installing the boot popper itself...and thats cos its fiddly as hell to get wires through the boot lid where u want em to go.

great and thanks for that not sure bout the alarm cos its the factory fitted one as its a 1.4 sport ,i know there is a sensor on the barrel lock its self , but i was thinking of putting the wires from that to a popper switch

it might work, but i cant verify that it will or wont as im no expert on this kinda thing. sounds like in theory it should work. but if the alarm unit is programmed to have that sensor in it and it is removed from the circuit the alarm may not arm properly. i guess u will just have to find out by tryin to disconnect the boot sensor and try arming the alarm.
