funny breakdowns

i went to skegi yesterday with a few mates. Before we left we were all joking about who would breakdown, i was slightly worried that it'd be me considering the noise my car is making at the minute. But another lad was very confident that it wouldn't be him becuase he had just got his Z-Tetec S back from having a new engine in it (focus 1.6) after his bottom end went the week before.
We left nuneaton about 7am, the motorways were empty so we were all having a bit of fun, so thought nothing of it when my mate in the ZS slowed down, thinking he would catch us all up. But then we all ended up pulling into a petrol station, then the zs limped in.
It wouldn't go over 3500 revs and when idling it would run at 500 for a little while before cutting out. So we waited for the RAC as none of us could see an obvious problem. He came and set about finding the problem, Ecu, spark plugs, etc... eventually he had a look at the air filter and air flow meter...then the problem was spotted...

...a fly on the sensor wire in the air flow meter. Obviously because the wire was covered up it wasn't working properly, therefore wasn't letting the right amount of air through.

we had stopped for nearly and hour and a half because of a fly...we eventually got to skegi at 11:30...4 hours and 30 mins later, twice as long as it should of.

just wondeing if anyone else has any stories that you can't help by laugh at?

doin 108mph i na 1.1 metro was funny but scary...bit wobbly mind lol

not really a break down but was funny
went round to my friends house was sat outside chatting, having a cig next to his car a rover 214
just chatting n having a laugh and for some reason the wall he parked his car next to just fell down smashed all his offside wing and bonnet!
it was a case of WTF?!
