Removing Radio200

Post by GlasMatt »

Hey
Just bought a Sony CD/mp3 player. Looks pretty straight forward to install. But I have no idea who to remove the original Grundig Radio200 which is in there at the moment. Sorry if this question has been asked 100 times before

In the four corners of the radio there will be a small hole, possibly with a grub screw inside it. If there is one, find the right sized allen key/hex bit to remove it.

Once that's out, you're supposed to use a pair of radio removal keys, that look like this. Jam them in either side to release the clips on the side of the radio, then pull the whole unit out.

Halfords sell them for £5 which is a ripoff, you can get cheaper elsewhere (eBay for £1-2) but depends how quickly you want them.

You can also get away with using small screwdrivers, stiff wire, welding rod etc.
