I really need some help with figuring out a problem with my corsa b. I've had it since christmas and it's run fine. Passed my test last friday and only yesterday it decided to break down on me on the drive????
Everytime i start the engine it aytomatically runs at 1100 RPM as standard with the automatic choke, it should then drop to 800 RPM after however it keps staling on me for no reason as soon as it's started??????
If i do managed to keep ot running it flicks between 1100 RPM and 800 RPM then revs itself between these 2 and then dies about 2 minutes later?????
Has anybody else had this problem and if so what could it be???????
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!

Re: PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats with passing!
Have you noticed any lights apearing on your dash?? (Mainly a orange one with what looks like an engine symbol in the middle)
If you have i had a similar prob (except i have no rev gauge). It is most likely a sensor (defo if the orange light is on).

Re: PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!
ok, well it sounds likea fuel pressure problem.
also, unhook the battery for half an hour or so, this will reset the ECU, and can solve this sort of problem!

Re: PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!
Right, I've asked him and he told me the answear straight away
"Idle Air Valve"
You've got to take it off to clean it or it may need a new one.
If that does not solve it then it will have to go on a computer

Re: PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!
If it's a manual mirror, pull on the adjuster arm thing and the rubber cover will come off (You'll be left with a rod sticking out), then grip the plastic trim and pull. It's held on by 3 clips and shouldn't take much to remove.
From there, unscrew the bolts (3?) and the wing mirror will come off
