As Colin Chapman said; Adding power makes you faster on the straight, removing weight makes you faster everywhere!
Do what I'm currently doing and strip the Corsa of everything not related to making it go, turn or stop! On mine, I'm removing all interior plastics, insulating material, sun visors, carpets, roof trim, rear and passenger seat, rear and passenger seatbelt, parcel shelf, glovebox, heater/fan, stereo/speakers, dashboard (to be replaced with a lightweight racing jobbie) switches and as much wiring as I can without breaking anything!
As you can probably tell, mine's going to be a fully race prepped car!

Yep, gonna take a good few hours to remove all that, I've made a start having already removed the complete right door card, 'A' Pilar plastics, sun visors and glove box.
(All for sale now BTW
)

it isn't, and I don't. In fact, there's no actual head unit in there, only the speakers.

Lol nice 1 m8 - that is gonna be one lightweight corsa lol. As for the TC: a few cheap mods to get performance could include induction kit (although i wudnt recommend it as it will just suck in hot air) or my personal favorite a k&n air filter in a derestricted airbox. That will get an extra 1-2hp. Another option if you have some cash is to get a straight through exhaust although these are quite pricey. Something else to consider, giving the car a goos service - getting some injector cleaner, new spark plugs, new oil and oil filter will all help to bring your cars hp up to what it was supposed to be in the first place.
If you have money then theres always engine swaps, full coilover lowering kit (makes it faster round the bends) and some bigger, wider wheels.
Hop that helps, sorry for the essay

cheers for the advice, i did fink about a conversion but just not worth it in my eyes, only plus point is the speed that it wud go
gunna get k & n filter if i can find one for my car

Panel filters are worth it but only if you derestrict your airbox as well (10 min job - read the guides section for more info). And i just got mine off ebay - i think thats probably the best bet really. Also some people on here prefer green cotton to k&n, i havent tried green cotton so i wudnt know what its like but realistically you wont go wrong with either of them brands

If its the 8 valve 1.2 then you aint gonna get much. You basically get a % power increase and obv on a 1.2 16 valve or a 1.6 then the same percentage will yield greater rewards than a 44hp 1.2. It will make a noticeable difference though - although it wont be much quicker it will be smoother across the rev range

You probably won't even notice it. I have an aftermarket filter on my 1.8 Mazda and I don't notice it. It just sounds nicer.
