hi guys i need somehelp. i have tried the search feature but for some reason i am too thick to get it to work even with refresh many times . my question is about fitting power steering to my girlfriends corsa merit 1994 diesel. can anybody tell me if this is possible with an electric system and how much work /cost is envolved. also a few years ago i saw some info about fitting an electric pump from a 106 for a nova but i cannot find the website now. i would prefer a system that uses an electric pump as i do not want to have to change pullies and belts if i have to. i know that some people will say that it is not worth it but they do not have to put up with my g/f nagging about how hard the steering is although when she test drived the car she assured me it would be ok. thanks in advance.

it probably could be done. alot of work tho and probably not cheap
most people go for an engine swap that already has the bits for powersteering.

failing that just swap the car for one that has powersteering, probably be cheaper.

I think the above poster is right. I remember seeing something about this the other day. I think it could have been on allcorsa.co.uk. Try the search function on there and see what you get. But yeh it probably is going to be cheaper to just sway the car over. Even if you loose 100 quid its still gonna be cheaper and much easier than converting the steering
