hi guys was just wondering if anyone one could help me or point me in the righ direction 2 questions.

1. I purchased a 1.4 16 valve sport off if ebay since i have had it the heater doesn't work i have fitted a new engine temp sensor, electric fan switch, new radiator cap, head gasket, new cambelt and water pump we have put it all back together and it still has no heater we have flushed all the pipes bled the system turned the heaters on with the rad cap off to let the air out but still no heater. There is a twist in the tale it would seem the someone in the past has put in a 1600 16 valve sport engine as we looked for the engine code and its not a 1.4 how ever i am on the understanding that a 1600 has a different common rail that goes to the heater matrix and has a valve on it. I am assuming who ever changed to engine didn't change the common rail for the heating system can anyone confirm that this could cause the heater not to work.

2. How much is it worth Its registered as a 1.4 16 valve sport but appears to have a 1.6 sport engine in 98000 miles on the clock a set of kei racing wheels 15's with all good tires on 195/50/15 its in black body work has a few dents in and the odd scuff Whats it roughly worth ?

Not that much tbh - maybe a grand if you are lucky. Ud be better off changing the log book to a 1.6 so anyone who bought it would be completely legal
