Re: Exaust help
Basically its a small back box, u get a free fitting kit wich is a bit of pipe tht fits on the exaust then onto the backbox but the back box only just reaches the end of the petrol tank nt the rear of the car, if u get me. it just needs a bit of pipe tht fits over the exaust then into the back box . i took it to national tyres today and they cudnt do it

Re: Exhaust help
Can't you just cut the excess pipe off your old back box? and get it welded on to make up the difference or am i missing something here
Be sure to get your self an injector head from a 1.4 spi to stop you running too lean and killing your sparkplugs (or even melting you pistons), oh and im probably gonna be slated for this but don't fit one of those stupid k&n style cone filters you will ruin the drivability of a 1.2 8v, if your gonna get anything buy a nice panel filter for your stock air box (which can be modified the guides are all over this site.

Re: Exaust help
if it only reaches the petrol tank then you have taken off the origional exhaust in the wrong place. you only need to remove the origional back box not most of the system

Why would you get slated?

It's just a lot of people think a cone filter is the be all and end all in gaining power, when most of the time they dont (unless set up right).

agreed i had k&n andit killed my mass air flow metre because it just sucked up hot air, that was with a cold air feed as well, its a killer when stuck in traffic

Re: Exaust help
I know what the TC is on about - i got a backbox off a m8 from a 106 which had basically just been hacksawed off sbout 2 inches after the box so obv it wudnt connect to anything on a corsa. I got mine done and my local exhaust specialists - they do custom exhaust systems for road and race cars so try looking in the yellow pages for one of those. Ordinary garages like HiQ and kwickfit wont be able to do this kind of thing
