HELP BRAKE ISSUE!!!

hi ive got a 1.2 club and ive recently fitted new pads and discs and last few days if i tap the bake or slighly touch it it sometimes makes a click/judger im woried there gna give way or sumit im just wondarin if any1 else has had this problem or is it just adjusting or sumit????

first of all did you refit all the anti rattle shims etc when you fitted the new pads and made sure the caliper was bolted up right? If the shims etc are missing the pad will shift back and forth in the caliper, if the bolts are lose the obviosly the caliper will rattle/ knock.

secondly did you put the disc locating screw/s back in and made sure the disc was flush with the hubs? If the screw is loose so the wheel clamps against the screw and not the disc or the disc is sitting wonky (could be corrosion or debris on the hub or anything) then the wheel won't tighen up right, you would get a lot of vibration if that were the case because the wheel will be out of true.

thirdly did you check the condition off the wheel nuts / bolts?
If they have been overtightened the taper can be deformed so that even though the nut/bolt is tight in is tightening up against the hub rather than the taper on the wheel, it happens mostly when wheels have been done up with a rattle gun.

wow well i fitted them at kwikfit where my dad wrks and it was all checked over fine ive gt totake my wheels off to balance them again so il check it all over and let uu no thanks

i took my wheels and checked the calipers clips ect and they where all fine but it seems to have stopd doing it now so il just leave it thanks

probs just the wheels (Y) mine where terrible til i balanced em then you notice the difference

it did it with my steels too mite have a play with the compensator valve as its lowerd
