Rear Axel?

I think I've got a problem with my rear axel or wheels thats getting wrose over time.
When my cars been sat for nearly a full day the rear wheels just don't seem to want to move and seem locked in position just like as if the had breake if fully on.
Now normally the back will rise up just abit when I reverse and the will be abit of a bang and the wheels seem to free up and the car moves backwards no problem.
Now today my car had been sat all day and went out this evening to find my corsa just woundn't go backwards. The rear of the car was wriseing up (as if the handbreake is on) but wasn't. Anyways I moved my mums car infront so I could try forwards and moved no problem with the bang been heard again.
Has anyone else had a problem like this or have any ideads what It might be. One thing I've noticed that It started this after putting alloys on from steelies and also It only tends to do this when my cars been parked for a while and it's been raining.
I've tried to explain as best I can. Any ideads welcome as I don't really know what could be causing this.
Thanks in advance!
Daniel.
