Removed Trim, Now left with outline.

I've recently removed the side panel trim on both sides but on the passenger side I'm left with the outline from where the trim (plastic) was. (pic below).





I've used T-Cut but hasn't made any difference. I now think that it's the paint that hasn't faded where the trim was. Thinking that I'll have to get it resprayed.

Anybody got any tips to getting it as so it never had any?
(Can't understand the drivers side came off in one, no glue left behind but the passenger side took me 3hours to remove all the glue).

same thing happened to mine, tcut will work eventually but you need a power buffer. it does fudge-all if you use it by hand.

look like laquer lines to me, do you know if the car has been painted?

you need some glue remover when degadging etc (panel wipe or petrol will do) and an old necter card or something to scrape (without scratching) the glue off once it has softened up.

If you have got laquer lines there isn't much you can do other than flat off the lines with 1200 grit paper (making sure not to brake through) then if you are lucky you may be abled to polish it back up, if your not lucky then you will need to re-laquer/paint the panels.

You've removed the bump strips have you not?

i did the same took me absolutley ages and after that i was left with what you have, T-cut worked a treat on mine

What about using some Bug And Tar Remover from Halfords?
That worked really well on mine when i got rid of the .COM down the side of mine

Thats defo laquer lines ive got the same on mine your jus gonna have to get it sprayed... and what did you debadge with ? shardes or metal ?? lol them scratches look deep lol.
