Dashboard Guages

Post by stevelynx1121 »

I have a 1996 Corsa Merit 3 door.

While applying the accelerator, my petrol gauge keeps moving up and down, plus my temp gauge keeps going up and up the more my speed goes up but stays there when i am stopped.

I have checked all the liquids in the car ie coolent, oil tec..... and everything is fine, and there are no leaks anywhere.

any ideas?

faulty voltage regulator on the back of the speedomiter
only way i know to fix would be fit a new set of clocks, i dunno if the regulator can be changed on its own.

Does it happen when u apply the throttle when stationary? Cuz when ur moving and accelerating the fuel level does very quite significantly as the sensor is only on one side of the tank
