today when i was drivin along,i changed down a gear and it suddenly jolted..the battery,oil and engine management light came on and slowly cut out,i managed to get it started after a few attempts..pulled off the road,turned it off,then started it back up again..all the lights went out and its so far been fine..anyone had this before or have any idea wot it cud be???

i dont know the cause but i had the same problem with my old 1996 1.2 8v ls i just did the same as you and it was fine....untill i crashed it haha

my 1 litre 2000 v reg done this one day never done it since probably just a loose wire of some sort i suspected

wow i've checked loads of posts today and in the ;ast few months i seem to have had all of them LOL Anyway yeh i had this about 2 weeks ago mate, nothing to worry about been fine since but if you have the money or a mate who can check get a diagnostic check run on it just to reassure yourself

i think where its an old car it just managed to stall itself..i could be rong tho.

haha mine happened when i was goin 50ish the whole car just cut out, did have a botched induction kit at the time so that may have caused it

i deffo dint stall it,and yeh i was doing about 50,was slowing down for a junction,and as i put the clutch down it cut out..
