so i have a new Automotive multi-meter with a tacho, Great!!!
so the operating manual informs me i have to find the "Appropriate testing test terminal of the computer of the automobile if the automobile is in a DIS type. or the negitive pole of theignition coil if the automobile is equipped with a distributor board" :shock:
so i know one of you verry smart guys will tell me where this is :?

im pritty sure its not The negative terminal of the Flux capacitor on the scream intake valve under the hyper speed magnatron divider
i have all ready tryed that however i did find that it is under powerd its only running at 3.

sorry i am using the tacho my car doesnt have a built in tachometer and i cant find the coil prob cus its multipoint efi

what engine do you have only the budget models didn't come with a tacho and none of them are MPI

combo10/98 1.4L 8V SOHC Ecotec

i was told it was multi piont but now i have no idea
it says opel on the rocker cover

I doubt its a 1.4 8v MPI they only put that in the SRI before 1995 unless its had an engine swap.

Its most probably an X14SZ in that case its got a DIS
Go to this link click on select a vehicle then put your reg in and it will tell you what engine you have.

You can put in a set of dials with a rev counter if you get one from a scrapy.

ok it has a factory fitted mpi its a australian holden combo fairly sure its made in portugal 10/98 rocker cover says opel

i not sure as to the engine because most websites are telling me different things
ive beeen told here that it may be an x14
wickipepia says its an ecotech1.4
redbook says its an c14nzo2b
some how im thinking its an c14sz
ill post some pics of the engine you will see its 100% a multy point
