Head unit- protect??
The other day i was driving in my car ,listening to ma tunes when...my music started going crackly then all of a sudden the music jst stopped and "protect" came up on the screen ....completly stopped working ...no buttons would work or anything .....so . managed to get paperclip to jam in the reset hole and reset it ....then 5 mins later it does it agen ...its a kenwood CD player and has only been in the car since january...anyone experienced the same thing .. shall i condemm it and just get a new one or what ??:( ..bad times !!!

Sounds like you have a loose wire shorting out the head unit and it's shutting itself down to 'protect' itself.
