My corsa 1.2 16v 1999 engine X12XE has following issues please help?

Starts but dies straight after automatic choke lets it go but after several restarts it works fine and drives. If I leave it for long and start it does the same again.

Pressing gas pedal stalls it as the revs shoot down rather than going up. It seems like idle is not in control of gas pedal.

Have cleaned throttle body, now its even worse after cleaning

Going up hills displays EML and loses speed which goes down to 20mph

if above does not work the item number is : 190254774302

you will need to provide the infomation on the original air flow meter plus you car and engine info e.g ( corsa b 1.2sxi 1999 X12XE)

im 99% positive that this is the case as i have the exact car as you and had these same symptoms . if by any chance this does not work id advise you to go get a diagnostic done on the car .

thanks for your reply, Today I have tried to clean MAF with carb cleaner and its still the same. How could I test to see if MAF is faulty. Would unplugging MAF connection work n diagnosing?

well i would bet it is your 'AFM'( AIR FLOW METER ) start your car up . pop the bonet and disconnect plug that goes into air flow meter . if its broken the engine will not change in revs or ewt when the lead is diconncted.

I have just tried unplugging MAF while the engine is running. When I disconnected it I felt misfire in revs for 3 secs and then back to normal as before. I tried driving while MAF unplugged and this stalled the car straight away till I plugged it back in. I don't know if that is the MAF fault or not.

Something else I would like to mention here is the previous owner had overfilled the oil which got into throttle body and breather hoses. I have cleaned both recently.

well if thats the case i would seriously recommend a diagnostic i think there about £30 but sometimes free in local garages.

is this what you are checking ? did you unplug that cable ?

I am unable to get code read as the light only stays till the gas pedal is released and this only happens on hills only. The light disappears after 5 secs.

Yes that is the plug which I unplugged. As the car only stalls in the cold start, today I tried unplugging coolant sensor, EGR value and Idle control valve while the engine was started in morning to check but the car still stalled. I am currently driving with the Throttle Position Sensor Unplugged as this is faulty aswell because it makes the car run very rough and jerks alot. The only problem is the stalling in the mornings or starting after leaving it for long.
