Hi,Ive got my first car a VX Corsa Diesel 93 and Im having trouble changing gear as its become really notchy and I\'ve found that I have to push the pedal through the floor to change gear. I mean it really is the last 1cm of clutch pedal travel that makes the difference....Does that mean that the Cable is stretched or that the clutch is worn out????

I dont feel the clutch slipping on acceleration thou. but the car has done 97K miles.

If I adjust the clutch cable in the engine will the bite point come up higher?

need your help please :?
Cheers

if you take it to the garage they can probs adjust the biting point by adjusting the clutch lever & cable on the gearbox, I had similiar problems & then had it sorted & was ok again but still needs doing...

but you may well need to do as si says & get a new clutch!
