Hey there,

Iv got a problem with the doors on my 3 door corsa, when they are opened the spall pin inside makes a loud clicking noise, it looks like the pin is worn down, but i dont know where to get new ones from or how to fix the problem?#

Anyone got any ideas?

Mr. Vauxhall dealer.
Depending on the age of the car it may be the holes the pins go in may be worn. Overcome and adapt. Drill the holes out to accept larger pins (from a different car).

Thanks, i dont really want to start drilling holes unless that is my only option. Do you know what these pins are actually called? Dp they have a specific name?

Thanks

I meant drill if the holes are worn and not the pins.

I would call them door stay pins. I'm sure they will know what you are talking about.

Take the car to a scrappers and point to em and say
"got any of these kicking about?"

will probs only cost you a couple of quid and they'll most likely fit em for you aswell if your unsure

What i did was got a big enough nut and bolt and just stuck it in the hole after removing the pin and then tightened it and it was fine.

Try it
