Hi all. When my car got repaired from an accident a while back the garage did not replace the little silver covers over the wheel bearings. Since then my rear passenger side wheel bearing has broke and now my rear right has which has effectively welded it to the stub axel. The RAC man said it was caused my water and grime from the roads getting oto the exposed wheel bearing and corroding it, something which them caps should stop. Ive had a look at my local scrappy and can't find any caps around so im now browsing the net looking for them.

Anyone know what they are called or where to find them please? Thanks in advance

The manual just calls it the cap in the centre of the hub, they are vital to stop road muck and brake dust getting in there. They are not meant to be clean inside as you slap a lot of grease on that bearing when it's put on.
Never seen brass one's, that's a bit extreme and probably a bad metal to use as they usually get a good bashing.
