hi guys!

I recently purchased a 2000 corsa envoy 12v 973 cc engine model X10XE.

I put £10 worth of petrol in my corsa last week, mostly town road driving. it's now showing 60 mpg and the petrol gauge is almost hitting rock bottom.

how good or bad is the fuel consumption on my corsa?

can some one give me information bout their mpg?

so will MPG be higher on motorway?

cheers, stevie

At a price of 107.99 i put £20 and that has got me 120miles, thats with induction kit ect...... problem is it's hard to get a true accurate MPG without monitoring the liters you put in due to the petrol prices going up and down every week. I have used these sites before after making a note of how many liters i put in the tank:

My 1.0 runs best at 62mph on motorway. Any more or any less mph isn't efficiant.

It depends how i drive mine - mine seems the most effecient at about 2500 - 3000 rpm so about 56 - 60 mph in 5th. If im careful with it i can get about 40 - 44 mpg on average. In winter this has plumeted down to able 35 ish though due to the cold and all the extra things that are switched on.

I did just do a rough calculation though and when i went 2 wales the other day i averaged about 39 mpg at 70 mph the whole way. it really was sipping petrol that day lol
