Yup - it comes on pretty much when the tank reads empty - in the bottom third of the red bit on the gauge. It means uve only got a few miles left so get it filled asap. I think, depending on the engine, you should be able 2 get away with 30 miles when the light is on but tbh id say make sure u fill up within 20 just 2 be safe. And it dont flash - it just comes on and stays on

Before I changed to a speedo unit with a rev counter the tank icon never lit up, not sure if the bulb was missing/blown or if it's just totally absent on that version.
Mine lights up every time the engine is started and stays on for a few seconds, though I'm not sure if they all do that.

Yeh i think it could be based on if you have a rev counter or not. And ive run my car for near enough 50 miles in the red once and it didnt run out. my light comes on about half way down and i did 30 miles on that but i wudnt have liked 2 do much more. it all depends of your driving style, your engine and your type of driving (inner city or motorways) that alter your fuel ecconomy and thus how long u can stay in the red for
I have learned a valuable tip now though (after running out of petrol and having to push it down the road to a nearby petrol station): when the light comes on fill up asap (like within 10 miles or so). Basically always keep a little reserve in the tank so you are never gonna completely run out

yup... corsa's without a rev counter dont have a fuel warning light sadly
all the wiring is there just no bulb lol
it should come on (if you have one) when you have around 6liters of fuel left, but dont let it get too low or you will suck up all the sludge n muck from the bottom of the tank in to your engine!!

you should get more than 45 liters in anyway due to expantion space
since when petrol gets warm (like during the summer) it expands.
not so bad during winter months just dont brim the tank in summer or it will just pour out of the overflow when warm!
i remeber once i was mowing the lawn (petrol mower)
stupidly i left the plastic can on the top of the wheelie bin in sunlight
about half hour later it bust spilling petrol everyware lol
