p-reg 1.7 d question

Hi All is it possible to adapt the manifold from a 1.5td so that the turbo will fit the 1.7 manifold as im looking for some extra power????!!!!! Also how much work would be involved, DIESELS SUCK LOL! 
Is there anything other than getting a new car to make it go faster lol
