1.0 12v juddering

Post by spooky19587 »

Hi guys hope you can help. head gasket went on my 12v and engine died so replaced with a used but fine lump, had done about 47k. Had an issue with acceleration high up revs and replaced mass air flow sensor which fixed the problem. 2 days later and it has an intermittent sensor fault. When low down the revs the car hesitates and judders like its trying to go, then when revs get higher it will eventually go. As i said it doesnt do it all the time and it idles fine. can anyone point me in the right direction???

try cleaning the idle control valve and the egr valve. there are guides in the FAQ section
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

give it a good service, mine did this when i first had it, was really dangerous on islands, changed the air filter and it was black, new spark plugs, etc and it now runs perfect!!

the engine was fully serviced when installed. and ran perfect for 2 days. definately a sensor fault, lol, just don't know which one. as maf is new i am ruleing that out. i am thinking maybe egr or crank position sensor??? would these cause these symptoms???

EGR wouldn't. EGR symptoms are engine cutting out when off the throttle and clutch pushed in.
