Fitting 60mm lowered spring onto Jamex front shocks
hopefully somebody can help. my car is lowered 60mm at the front and its been on standard shocks, bought some jamex shocks and after doing the back, i have having major problems getting the top mount to fit onto the top of the shock.
ive compressed the springs as much as it will allow, but even when pushing down hard i stll cannot get a thread to put the nut on, if the nut could get a bit of thread , id be able to put it in with the nut.
does anyone know if im doing this wrong or if there is another way you fit the shock together, the shocks are shorter than the stardard ones, and so is the spring obviously, so im not too sure why im having such a problem?
hopefully somebody could help or give me mini step by step guide?
many thanks .

Are you sure the spring is shorter? The lowering springs I had were roughly the same size as standard but a different coil rate or something. Maybe you need jamex springs.

yes mate they are shorter ive checked, and they are jamex springs, 60mm jamex springs and jamex shocks is the setup (hopefully if it ever works) just cant get enough compresion to get any thread on the shock

I can't understand that, unless the shock is under compression somehow whenever you try to fit the springs.

thats the only thing i can think of , but thats how they came, if there is no weight on them they arent gonna be compressed are they?

sorted it, because it was getting dark yesterday and we was rushing, we put the metal pyrimid shaped thing upside down by accident, after changing it , it fitted fine. its also made the car a bit lower too.
