lining up bonnet..

iv done this plenty of times before..but for some reason i cant get my new bonnet to sit right,no matter what i do it just wont all line up right,it shuts now,but to open it i have to get someone to hold the handle up in the car,and mess around with it to open it..anyone else had this problem and got tips?

bit late on saying but a tip i was given if i was taking the bonnet off was to spraypaint the arms so it left a guide where they are supposed to line up, then you took them off, totally useless if your replacing the bonnet though

how much is it out ? does it close properly ?

its not far out to be honest,and it shuts fine,and dont look too bad...but just once its shut u cant open it without 2 people lol

maybe it is sittin a bit too low, try getting someone to hold it up a bit while u tighten it, if i remember rightly there is a small bit of play in the height of it

i also noticed wen i took mine off for a matt black spray an put it back on it started squeekin like mad goin over bumps an stuff wd40 sorts that

Tighten up the Striker pin.
Put masking tape over the front panel hole
gently close the bonnet down on the tape
to make sure its hitting dead centre of the hole.
